Not that every Buffy-Angel fan loves Sarah Michelle Gellar, but we all must give some credit at least to her for being part of the reason these shows became so popular, and stayed on for as long as they did (giving us episode after rivoting episode with all the charactesr we know and love).

So, for our first contest, I've gathered three of the most beautiful photographs I've ever found of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Your challenge is to create a piece of art or writing inspired by one or more of the photographs.

Your entry may be a "photomanipulation" BUT, please actually 'manipulate' the photo if you're going to do this, don't simple stick it on a black background, and blend it in, while slapping a buffy quote in red text overtop. I've seen too many of these to count, and this does not qualify as art.

Other than that, anything goes: pencil, marker, digital, anime, portrait style, anthro.... be creative! You can even do an abstract.... if that's what you're into

Once you've completed your entry, send a note to the club, and it will be entered at a temporary submission. At the Duration of the contest, the entries will be taken down, unless otherwise requested.

^^^^^ Due to OVERWHELMING response to this contest (not), the duedate is extended to August 30th, at which time, a new contest will begin, and the only submission enetered so far wil be declared the winner. Please submit!!! (It's not that hard....) ^^^^^^^

WEREWOLVES
SCARY OR COOL?
WOULD YOU WANT TO BE A WEREWOLF?
OZ WAS CLEARLY THE BEST CHARACTER ON BUFFY, HIS DEPARTURE FROM SUNNYDALE IN SEASON 4 WAS A TRAGEDY.
NINA WAS A STUPID, UNLIKEABLE BIMBO, THANK GOD THEY GOT RID OF HER IN SEASON 5 ANGEL.

With a pretty diverse manipulation gallery, Malkavius represents what all photomanipulators should be, he repeatedly turns awesome photos into even more awesome pieces of art, and his dark style is very interesting and very appealing. There are two basic reasons I chose Malkavius for the feature:

1) Malkavius's avatar is awesome. (Definitely worth seeing eight times in a row)
2) Malkavius is a wicked artist. (Check out the photomanipulations below)

If there is anything second to the Buffy DVDs themselves, it's Buffy DVD screencaps; browsing through your favourite episodes, favourite scenes, and saving freeze frames to look at later on. Some people make screencaps themselves, but for most of us, when looking for a good shot for a wallpaper or even just an Oz Love-fest, we search the net for just the right picture. Well look no further! Screencap-Paradise is one of the most in-depth buffy screencap sites out there, with as many as 900 caps for some episodes, and all large, DVD quality shots, there's nothing they don't have. Seasons 1-7, all within a click of the mouse!
